The Grissom High School chapter of the Technology Student Association.
The Technology Student Association (TSA) is a national, non-profit organization of middle and high school students who are engaged in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Since TSA was chartered in 1978, nearly 4,000,000 student members have participated through challenging competitions, leadership opportunities, and community service.
The global TSA organization hosts various competitions throughout the year, including coding, CAD, board game design, VR, and more!
We are hosting bi-monthy (as in every other month) escape rooms in Freshman Academy! They're completely free and occur after school. Bring your friends!
The Grissom Robotics team, operating under TSA, competes in various competitions. They are presented with unique challenges every year and must create functional robots to overcome those challenges.
Grissom also competes in the yearly Cyberpatriot competition hosted by the American Airforce Association. We've consistently placed high in the competitions, and we placed 1st in the State of Alabama in 2024.
Every year, TSA does a fundraiser for a donation to the American Cancer Society. This typically includes a canned food drive.
This year, we will also be doing other fundraisers for our chapter of the TSA to help fund more projects, competitions, and other fun activities.
